Being a junior in high school I have many things to do and think about. All of these things lead to a high amount of pressure. With so much pressure comes procrastination; which is a practice that we all come to eventually. Postponing tasks in order to do something else/less important is a huge problem for everyone. Surprisingly this year in school I haven't been sucked into it very much. Though with my reading I have become a terrible victim to it.
I received Rick Riordan's 3rd book in The Heroes of Olympus series, The Mark of Athena, for Christmas last year. I began reading it right away but for some reason I've never finished it. To this day I am only on page 311. This has also happened with the book Inkspell by Cornelia Funke. I have procrastinated so much with these books, and I wish I could just sit down and read them in one day.
My biggest procrastination factor would have to be school. I have no time between homework, my dance team, and other random tasks to find time to read. To me it is so depressing that I want to read sooo many books but don't have the time to. I really need to use every possible second to finish these books. I'm behind! House of Hades was released October 8th and i'm missing out. Everyone is talking about the demigods new adventures while I have to ignore everyone to avoid all the spoilers. I will most likely get HoH as a Christmas gift this year. Though my goal by the end of 2013 will be to finish both those books, and start enjoying reading again.
if you would like to read more about the books mentioned:
